25 Nov Dream Destination – Tanzania
Tanzania is a beautiful country full of natural beauty. The great Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest point in Africa and is bordered by 3 of its largest lakes, Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa. Most of Tanzania is made up of farm-land where they make a large variety of grains and starch. Their most important exports are cotton and coffee. Tanzanians are very diverse people with many cultures. They have a few UNESCO World Heritage sites like the rock-paintings at Kondoa, the ancient port ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara, and the Stone Town in Zanzibar.
In Dream Destination, two African stars will travel through Tanzania on a limited budget and explore the culture and heritage of the country. The popular comedian Chipukizi from Kenya and respected film producer Roger from Uganda will tour the country, talk to the native people, do charity work and take part in the practices of many of their cultures and daily rituals. Chipukizi’s energetic and mischievous nature bounces off very entertainingly with Roger’s firmer, more serious personality.
The show makes a point of talking about some of the challenges faced by the Tanzanian people and highlights problems in environmental and vulnerable group protections as well as other public welfare issues.
