To register, call 011 582 9988 during our Call Centre hours (07h00 – 22h00), or SMS ‘STAR’ to 40004. A Call Centre Agent will call you within 72 hours to complete the registration process.
Please ensure you have your StarSat decoder, Smart Card number, SA ID number or passport number, as well as your banking details is in order, to complete the registration process.
After registering your account, our Call Centre Agent will contact an accredited installer to make the necessary arrangements for your installation. The Call Centre Agent will confirm installation arrangement details with you.
You can activate your subscription in one of the following ways: • The Installer can activate your account by calling the Call Centre on your behalf (recommended option), or • SMS your SA ID number to 40008, or • Call 011 582 9988, or • Visit a StarSat Customer Experience Centre or Accredited Installer Partner.
Your subscription billing period will start from when you activate your subscription Services. You will then have 48 hours to pay the full month’s subscription in advance.
On activation of your subscription, StarSat will send you an SMS containing your account reference number, as well as your unique Easypay reference number. Please keep these numbers handy as you will need them when making future payments.
StarSat will cover the cost of standard installation which includes a dish kit, maximum 25 metre LNB cable, single LNB, bracket and full installation to a single TV point. Should a special bracket be required, the installer will advise you of the additional cost. The installation is done directly to the television.
The Installer will ensure that all settings are correct and in working order before he/she leaves.
If you require anything over and above this, e.g. connecting your home theatre system, then the installer will provide you with a quote. Please make installation and payment arrangements directly with the Installer for this additional service.
For your peace of mind, a three-month warranty on the installation is provided by the Installer.
Should you choose not to utilise the services of an accredited StarSat installer, you will be liable for the installation costs.
Residential complex and business premise installations are excluded.
Please note, your initial payment must be made within 48 hours from activation to avoid viewing suspension.

If you choose a 12-month contract with upfront payment, we offer you the 13th month free. Payment can be made using:
Debit order (recommended option) -your payment will reflect within 12 hours. the Call Centre Agent will load your debit order details on registration.
Easypay – you can pay at any Easypay using the unique Easypay reference number sent to you via SMS.
Using your credit card - contact the StarSat Contact Centre, simply quote your account reference number.

You can also pay at StarSat Customer Experience Centres or at selected accredited Installers.
Use your account number as reference number (sent to you via SMS on activation).
On completion of the installation only channel 99 will be visible, this is to demonstrate that the installation was done correctly. Your subscription services should be activated now.
