Classical performances from South America

(Part 2 of 4 – Anabel de la Mora)

This May, Stingray Classica is shining a spotlight on South American talent. This Wednesday, we will show a concert dedicated to the Mexican musical arts recorded at the Academia de Música del Palacio de Minería in Mexico City.

Raúl Delgado Estévez, who for many years, headed the oldest active choir in Venezuela: The Orfeón Universitario de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, is our conductor for the evening.

Soprano Anabel de la Mora, a well-known professional opera singer in Mexican circles, will be headlining the show.

The Orquesta Sinfonica de Minería will be accompanying them, the 2016 Medal of Merit in Sciences and Arts recipients, and the 2017 Las Lunas award for the best classical show.

The show will be broadcast in two parts, each featuring different performers.

Part I features:

– Miguel Bernal Jiménez’s “Angelus”,
– Alfonso Esparza’s “Dime que sí”,
– María Grever’s “Munequita Lina”,
– Ricardo Castro’s “Intermezzo de Atzimba”,
– Jorge del Moral’s “Besos robados”, and
– Consuelo Velázquez’s “Bésame mucho”.

Part II features:

– Blas Galindo’s “Sones de Mariachi”,
– Arturo Marquez’s “Danzón No. 2”,
– José Pablo Moncayo’s “Huapango”, and
– Genero Codina’s “March of Zacatecas”
