Amajita show continuity

South Africa’s U-20 coach Thabo Senong has kept the bulk of the squad that has served him well for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Senong announced the squad at a press conference on Friday.

The tournament, which will be played in South Korea, will be broadcast live on StarSat sports channels. The showpiece runs from May 20 to June 11.

The team shows continuity, from a development perspective, as seven of the players have represented South Africa at the U-17 world cup.

Amajita’s first match will be on May 21 against Japan at 10am (CAT) on channels 245 (World Football), 246 (Sports Premium), 241 (Sports Arena) and 240 (Sports Focus).

Senong’s side will then take on Italy on May 24 at 13:00 on the same channels.

The third group match will see South Africa facing South American champions Uruguay. The match will be played on May 27 at 13:00 on channel 245 (World Football).
