America’s Hidden Stories

America’s Hidden Stories on Smithsonian Channel on StarSat Mobile

Most of history isn’t written in stone. Historians work day in and day out trying to verify the stories of the past and, when evidence presents itself, they rewrite history.

In this series, modern historians will use cutting-edge technologies and recently unearthed evidence to piece together a more accurate picture of history. We’ll be delving deep into America’s past and uncover what was hidden from us by the passage of time.

Was Revolutionary War hero General Pulaski actually a woman? Did Ronald Reagan secretly order a cyberattack on the Soviet Union during the Cold War? Was America’s heartland the true birthplace of the Spanish flu? These are just some of the questions that we’ll be exploring.

6:10 p.m. on the Smithsonian Channel (ch 226) from February 18th
