De Klassiker is the top draw in Bundesliga

There will be so many classic match ups in the German Bundesliga’s biggest match, at the Signal Iduna Park, this weekend. Football fans will be treated to De Klassiker (Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich) on World Football, Saturday at 7pm. At the start of the season experts expected Dortmund to be the team that pushes Munich in the league title chase. Die Borussen has not been as good as many expected them to be as they have drawn three matches and lost two in their first 10 fixtures. They are now fifth in the league.

This match gives them an opportunity to close in on their rivals, who are at the top of the log. Victory for Dortmund would see them move within three points of Munich. A win for Bayern could be disastrous for Dortmund even at this early stage in the season. Although the home side are fifth, they will be confident in their abilities to score goals. They are the league’s top scorers with 25 goals, one more valacyclovir online generic than Munich, from their 10 matches. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, of Gabon, has already scored 11 goals this season as he leads Dortmund’s frontline.

Munich is also deadly upfront with last season’s top scorer Robert Lewandowski leading their line. The two sides boast star quality. Besides Aubameyang, Dortmund also has the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Mario Gotze who can be a handful for defenders. Munich has the likes of Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller who can cause the best defenders in the world to have sleepless nights. Although Bayern will go into the match as favourites, they will do well to remember that Dortmund may have lost two matches this season but none of those defeats were at home. In fact De Borussen is on a 26-match unbeaten run at home. Can the champions Munich bring that record to a halt? Or will Dortmund close in on their rivals in the league? Find out on Saturday November 19 on World Football (channel 245) at 19:00.
