It’s cold out here in the Pyrenees mountain range but at least it’s quiet. That’s all Max Easton (Mark Strong) wants a quiet life with his wife and daughter. Decades of being one of the world’s top covert operatives have left him with some money to spend and some scars to heal. The last thing he wants is for his old life to find him again.
However, a man as skilled as he will always be in demand, and it didn’t take long for an old friend to show up asking for help. George White (Alistair Petrie) is the head of a covert MI6/CIA team called “The Section” and wants Max to help him find whoever killed Harry (Joe Dempsie), George’s estranged son. Begrudgingly, Max agrees to help George on one condition: that this is the last job he ever has to do.
Unbeknownst to Max, Harry was busy investigating some very bad people when he died. These people, however, were no ordinary bad guys: They don’t make money stealing handbags, they profit off wars, wars which they themselves have orchestrated. These are very powerful people. If they can’t bribe you they will kill you. There is no line they will not cross to get what they want, and the one thing they want more than anything is to protect their reputations by any means necessary. They want Max Easton dead.
This is a battle of impossible odds. On the one side: unaccountable billion-dollar companies who will do whatever it takes to kill one man, and on the other: a desperate man who will do whatever it takes to protect his family.
This is a high-stakes action-packed spy thriller that will have you at the edge of your seat from start to finish.
