On the 10^th of July, the Midrand SPCA was robbed at gunpoint. Three assailants forced the caretaker to open the building before beating him up and locking him in a separate room. The robbers got away with vaccines, printers, phones and security equipment. They also trashed the place.

We at StarSat have a soft heart for our pawed friends so the call went out for donations to help the Midrand SPCA get back on their feet. We collected lots of pet food as well as a few interesting goodies that we donated on the 5^th of August 2019. We hope that this will be of use to the SPCA and that they might soon be back in full operation.
