Press Release – StarTimes Launches E-Commerce Platform StarTimes GO

StarSat is proud to announce that, very soon, we’ll be launching e-commerce functionalities on our StarTimes ON app called StarTimes GO. In the time of lockdown, many everyday things have become far more difficult, and in some cases impossible. StarTimes GO aims to help by featuring StarTimes products for people to purchase and have delivered to their homes, all without ever having to leave their homes.

In addition to the app, a new show with the same name, StarTimes GO, will be appearing on StarSat connected screens soon. In this show, a presenter will be showcasing the best technology that StarTimes has to offer, from smart TVs to decoders and solar-powered battery systems.

Users can make purchases through StarTimes GO by using any online-purchasing enabled Visa or Mastercard. The entire process from make the order to receiving the delivery and activating accounts can be done from the safety of people’s homes. If users prefer to make their orders directly they can make a quick call to StarSat’s call centre at 011 582 9988.

“We know that a healthy, self-isolated environment is important to prevent the worsening of this pandemic,” said John Yan, CEO of StarSat. “Therefore, we’ve innovated an all-in-one platform that doubles as both a source of entertainment and a way to purchase items without having to leave one’s home, so that we can all remain safe in these difficult times.”
