Re-emergence of the Rossoneri?

It has been three seasons since AC Milan last finished amongst the top three in Serie A. The famous Rossoneri has not been competitive enough in recent years. This, however, seems to be changing.

Although it is early days in the season, Milan is showing some form having won five out of eight matches (drawn one). They are level on points with second-placed Roma.

In the glory days Milan boasted some of football’s biggest names. The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Paolo Maldini have all donned the famous red and black of the seven-time European Champions.

The current side is not blessed with such talented individuals but they seem to have the grit and team buy valtrex cheap work to fight for victories. This was displayed when they inflicted Chievo’s first home defeat since January, on Sunday. Off course there is still a lot of work to be done before this team can be compared to the legendary Milan sides of the past.

Their next match is their biggest test of the season, so far. They host traditional rivals and champions Juventus on Saturday. Is this the season where we will see Milan compete for the Scudetto? Can Milan’s rivalry with the likes of Juventus, Inter and Napoli be rekindled to the glory days?
