The evil has been defeated and the galaxy is in peace. Just kidding, of course, it’s not. A new bad-guy called Kylo Ren is an enforcer for Snoke, leader of a newly formed team of white-clad thugs named the First Order, basically copy-cats to the brutish Galactic Empire, hell-bent on galactic dominance.
One day both the First Order and their official opposition, the Resistance, discover that the vanished hero Luke Skywalker can be found, but only if they can get their hands on a specific BB-8 droid, which contains a secret map hidden inside it somewhere.
The First Order would very much like to find the last Jedi Knight because, well, revenge, for the pivotal role he played in defeating the Empire way back when. Besides, no self-respecting evil order can let the guy who ruined everything the last time around live long enough to do it again.
The Resistance, on the other hand, would like to find Mr Skywalker because having a master Jedi by your side would be pretty handy indeed if only they can find him, though the guy hasn’t made it easy.
One other day, a First Order Stormtrooper called Finn crash lands on a pathetic dusty planet no one cares about. Finn finds a girl by the name of Rey, who had found the super important BB-8 droid everyone’s looking for while scavenging the barren landscapes. Finn, luckily, has decided that he would no longer do the First Order’s bidding, and in fact would much rather see them fail, so he decides to tell Rey about the importance of her droid companion, and the two set off to try to get the information into the hands of the struggling Resistance.
Be a part of their rocky ride as Finn and Rey risk their lives for the greater good. If you like fun, adventurous romps with some injected nostalgia here an there then this film is worth a watch.
