Triumph in the Skies II

Triumph in the Skies II

Have you ever looked into something you didn’t have any expectation for and you’re shocked by how big and important the thing it is? It happened to me once before when I realized that cup stacking is not only a thing, but a worldwide sport with championships and everything. It happened to me once more when I searched Google for the series Triumph in the Skies 2. This show is a big deal.

It’s the sequel to the hugely successful series Triumph in the Skies, which followed Samuel/Sam Tong’s (Francis Ng) life as one of the first Chinese pilots. His life is a very interesting one. His best (and childhood) friend Vincent (Joe Ma) was a playboy who had met the woman he would eventually marry, Isabelle/Belle (Flora Chan). Unbeknown to Vincent, Belle and Sam had met before in a one-night-stand that almost led to a blossoming relationship if it was not for fate intervening. This made things between Sam and Bell pretty awkward since they both still felt attracted to one another. Zoe, a young 20-something-year-old woman, knew the story that transpired between the two and did her best to cheer Sam up. Her cheeriness and care warmed Sam’s heart and they became a couple. Things became even more complicated when Vincent died and Sam’s behaviour towards Belle changed, which, understandably, worried Zoe.

Triumph in the Skies II picks up after the first series ended. Follow Sam as he deals with the loss of his wife Zoe while also dealing with moving to a new airline. This is a multi-award winning series which builds upon the successes of the first series and even spurred a film (Triumph in the Skies). If you like your drama to be not only interesting and entertaining but well-acted and executed, this is not a series you want to miss.
